Will County residents that are looking for a healthier lifestyle can also be on the lookout for the Rethink Your Drink” campaign. To promote this exciting initiative, the Chronic Care Action Team of MAPP, a division of the Will County Health Department, has launched a series of public awareness messages through signage on PACE buses, bus shelters and signage at local healthcare providers.
To help reduce the risk of diabetes and other diseases, we are focusing on educating Will County residents about the dangers of these major healthcare risks as well as obesity. The best way to fight obesity is to consume less sugar, specifically the high volume of sugar that we receive through every day soft-drinks. So we are encouraging Will County residents to “Rethink” what kind of drinks they are consuming, and focus on healthy alternatives like water.
In fact, we are challenging anyone who is up to it, to take our 30-DAY CHALLENGE! We encourage everyone to take a pledge to consume only healthy drinks for 30-days, and joining us in the fight against obesity and other diseases. By becoming healthier residents, together we can help create a healthier community and push to keep healthcare costs lower for everyone.
Take the 30-Day challenge HERE. It’s takes 30 seconds and it’s free.
